An estimated 11.4 million Americans signed up for ObamaCare during the second enrollment period, which closed Feb. 15, the Obama administration announced Tuesday. The White House said last fall it hoped to enroll 9.1 million people in new health plans by this month's deadline.

That said, the tally should drop a bit when people who enrolled but did not pay their premiums are removed from the count. Last year, more than one million people who signed up for insurance during the enrollment period were no longer enrolled by the end of the year.
