KFC unveils the UK's first edible coffee cup, made of cookies

Forget Dominique Ansel Bakery's cookie shots — KFC has created coffee cups made of cookies.

KFC teamed up with The Robin Collective's U.K. food scientists to create the "Scoffee" cups. They're made of cookie cups that are "wrapped in sugar paper and lined with a layer of glorious white chocolate," Metro U.K. reports. But the outer wrapper has KFC's logo, so to an unknowing spectator, the cup is just a regular coffee container.

The coffee cups sound nice in theory, until you hear about their "ambient aromas": A spokesperson for The Robin Collective told Metro U.K. that the cups are infused with scents including "Coconut Sun Cream, Freshly Cut Grass, and Wild Flowers." The scents were apparently meant to evoke "positive memories associated with warm weather," but the smell of grass probably isn't the scent you want with your cup of joe.

For now, at least, the cups will only be available at KFC locations in the U.K. The cups are still in the development phase, The Telegraph reports, and a limited number of U.K. KFC stores will test the cups out later this year.
