Activision revives long-defunct video game series Guitar Hero

After five years, the popular video game series Guitar Hero is ready to step back onto the stage. On Tuesday, developer Activision revealed that the Guitar Hero series will return, in a massively revamped form, as Guitar Hero Live. The new game will be available on consoles including Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U, as well as select mobile devices.

Activision released a video demonstrating how the new Guitar Hero will work, eschewing the game's previously cartoony look in favor of a first-person perspective designed to show players what it's like to perform for a massive stadium full of screaming fans:
