Eight people died when Amtrak train No. 188 derailed in north Philadelphia on Tuesday, en route to New York City from Washington, D.C. We now know that the train was going too fast around a curve, and the names of the eight victims. In the video below, The Associated Press goes a step further, providing faces and basic biographical details for most of the people who died in the wreck. It's a nice service, but also a fitting, if small, tribute to one of the victims, Jim Gaines, an AP video software engineer credited with developing online video for the news organization. —Peter Weber
