John Oliver pays up on FIFA bet, chugs Bud Lime, eats McDonald's

A week ago, John Oliver pleaded with FIFA's sponsors to force out Sepp Blatter, the longtime president of soccer's world government body. He pledged to eat their bad food, drink their insipid beer, and wear their silly shoes. Days later, Blatter resigned, as the bribery and corruption scandal crept closer to his door. On Sunday's Last Week Tonight, a shocked Oliver paid the piper.
"To be fair, it is not clear that the sponsors had anything to do with Blatter leaving, and Blatter's departure still leaves FIFA with a huge amount of restructuring to do," Oliver noted. "But that said, a promise is a promise, and I'm a man of my word." He put on the "ridiculous" Adidas shoes, sampled a bunch of items from McDonald's Dollar Menu — "it's like there's a party in my mouth, and my stomach has called the cops to shut it down" — and for the main event, chugged a bottle of Bud Lime and called it delicious.
