Longtime FIFA president Sepp Blatter might not step down from soccer's governing body, an unnamed source close to him told Swiss newspaper Schweiz am Sonntag on Saturday, according to The Guardian. Last month Blatter easily won re-election to his fifth term days after the U.S. indicted top FIFA officials on charges of corruption.
On June 2 Blatter announced he would resign after FIFA could convene in an emergency congress to elect a successor in December. FIFA has not commented on the Swiss report.
