It's been 25 years since Nintendo has crowned a World Champion, and for the 2015 revival of the legendary video game tournament, the company cooked up something really special.
At the end of a gaming gauntlet that included The Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros., the final two contestants were challenged to complete an all-new, insanely difficult Super Mario Bros. level. How difficult? Take a look for yourself:
In the end, the winner was gamer John Numbers, whose grand prize was awarded by Super Mario Bros. creator Shigeru Miyamoto himself.
