Moose, ice cream, and parades: A brief list of things Hillary Clinton likes

If there is anything Hillary Clinton famously dislikes, it's the media. Still, The New York Times' Mark Leibovich was able to snag a relatively rare interview with the 2016 Democratic frontrunner for his 5,000-word profile, "Re-Re-Re-Reintroducing Hillary Clinton." On politics and policy, Clinton reveals little — she is as Clintonian as ever in her platitudinous dodges. Still, Leibovich captured a few moments that show a softer side of Hillary. Heck, she almost seems relatable. Jeva Lange
Hillary on moose:
I had never seen a moose before. It was thrilling, and I felt compelled to tell Clinton about it within seconds of my arrival. "Oh, really? Wow," Clinton exclaimed with a big smile as she poured herself a cup of coffee. [...] She had seen a few in her day, she told me. "I've eaten moose, too," she said. "I've had moose stew." Clinton explained that during college she worked one summer in Alaska, washing dishes at a resort. She was 21, and her energy and freedom felt limitless; she took long hikes in the midnight sun. [The New York Times]
Hillary on Hollywood's portrayal of Hillary:
After long overseas trips as secretary of state, Clinton and her staff would unwind on the flight home by watching mindless movies; she tells of seeing the 2007 thriller Breach, in which a Russian spy declares: "I disapprove of women in pantsuits. Men wear pants. … The world doesn’t need any more Hillary Clintons." The plane busted out laughing, no one harder than the secretary. [The New York Times]
Hillary on childhood:
"I'd play out in the patch of sunlight that broke the density of the elms in front of our house and pretend there were heavenly movie cameras watching my every move." She wrote of how she craved all of the excitement and discoveries of life without losing "the little girl in the sunlight." [The New York Times]
Hillary on ice cream:
"I like nearly everything." [The New York Times]
Hillary on parades:
"I love parades. I love walking in parades." [The New York Times]
