There were plenty of first-time nominees at the 67th annual Emmy Awards, but in the end, two old favorites ended up dominating the ceremony: HBO's Game of Thrones and Veep.

In addition to Best Comedy Series, Veep scored repeat acting wins for stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale, as well as nods for writing and casting.

In the drama categories, Game of Thrones did so well it shattered the record for most Emmy wins for any series in a single year, with trophies including the Best Drama victory and a Best Supporting Actor win for Peter Dinklage, who last won for the show's first season.
