Early Monday, at least four people were killed in India after a 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck Manipur state in the northeastern part of the country.
Several buildings were damaged, a market collapsed, and at least 100 people were injured, The Guardian reports. Police said people were killed and wounded in and around Manipur's capital, Imphal, after being hit by falling debris. The quake was felt in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and police said 40 injured people there were being treated at a major hospital. The epicenter was in the Tamenglong region of Manipur, India's meteorological department said, near India's borders with Bangladesh and Myanmar.
