Ben Carson is opting to skip campaign stops on Tuesday in favor of rest at home and to pick up clean clothes.

CNN's Chris Moody tweeted Monday evening that after the Republican presidential candidate speaks to his supporters in Iowa tonight — likely before the caucus results are in — he will fly to his house in Florida for some "R&R." The other candidates already have their eyes set on New Hampshire, which holds the nation's first primary on Feb. 9, with many flying out of Iowa tonight and going straight to the Granite State. Carson will hit the campaign trail again on Wednesday, Moody reports, and is scheduled to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. Carson's senior communications strategist, Jason Osborne, later tweeted that Carson isn't "standing down," and just needs to "get fresh clothes" after being on the road for 17 days.
