The Islamic State terrorist group recently cut its fighters' salaries by 50 percent. But even after that move, the group is still struggling, The Associated Press reports.
The prices of sugar, gas, vegetables, and meat near the group's headquarters in Raqqa, Syria, have risen significantly in recent months, causing ISIS leaders to cut back on everything from meal rations to tiny perks — fighters reportedly no longer have access to free energy drinks and Snickers bars.
