The Supreme Court rejected an appeal Monday from former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) of his corruption charges, the Chicago Tribune reports. In 2014, a federal appeals court threw out five of his 18 convictions.

Blagojevich, 59, is serving a 14-year sentence in a Colorado federal prison after he was convicted of attempting to sell President Obama's open Senate seat. He is set to be released in May 2024.
