A German man stabbed one person to death and wounded three others in what authorities say was a possible Islamist attack in the town of Grafing, which lies east of Munich, AFP reports. It is unknown if the 27-year-old assailant, who is a German national, suffered mental health or drug issues, although it is being looked into by authorities.

The attacks took place at a commuter railway station around 5 a.m. According to local media, witnesses heard the man yell "Allahu akbar" and "you unbelievers" during the attack, although a spokesman said authorities are still trying to determine "what the exact remarks were." Authorities also say the man was from the central German state of Hesse and did not have an immigrant background.
