Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda cut his trademark long hair after his last show

Just minutes after final curtain on his last performance in his hit show, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda chopped off his long hair and tweeted a photo. His followers promptly named his new style the "Hamilcut."

For those who missed Miranda on Broadway, fear not: He expects to return occasionally for years to come. "I intend to drop in on this, over and over again," Miranda said. "Cut to 20 years from now and you'll be like, 'Lin, when will you stop playing Hamilton?'"

Miranda is leaving the stage to work on other projects as his name recognition grows. The Pulitzer Prize winner recently composed the score to a new animated Disney musical, Moana, set in the islands of Oceania. He'll also star in the forthcoming Mary Poppins sequel opposite Emily Blunt in a new role that is not Dick Van Dyke's chimney sweep Bert.
