Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson reportedly hasn't been the only target of network CEO Roger Ailes' allegedly inappropriate behavior. CNN spoke to "several women who formerly held on-air jobs at Fox" who claimed to have "stories of their own" about Ailes:
Several of them, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Ailes is well known for making inappropriate comments, and they thought Carlson overreacted by suing.A former Fox host remembered Ailes saying to her, "Walk down the hallway slower, I want to get a look at those legs." But she said she did not consider that to be sexual harassment, and she praised Ailes at length. [CNN]
Many of the other women that CNN interviewed, however, reportedly did think that "Ailes crossed a line." At least for now, though, those alleged experiences are getting buried by Fox News' restrictive non-disparagement agreement, which — while intended to maintain amiable relations between the former employee and employer — severely limits what those employees can say to reporters or lawyers, CNN explained.
With that agreement in place, some women apparently do not want to speak about their experiences, even with a promise of anonymity. Read the rest of the story over at CNN.
