The second day of the Republican National Convention began with a prayer from a lay Catholic and ended with a benediction from a Muslim, who told the remaining delegates and TV viewers, "God bless Donald Trump," and also invoked "the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him." Sajid Tarar, founder of the actual group American Muslims for Trump, did not mention the word "Allah," however, as this Donald Trump parody account noted:
