On Monday, lawyers for singer Kesha filed to dismiss her sexual abuse lawsuit in California against producer Dr. Luke.
Her attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, said Kesha wants to focus on her case against Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, in New York. Kesha alleges that Dr. Luke raped and ridiculed her, and she is appealing two rulings in New York that keep her from breaking her contract with his label and dismissed her claims of emotional and sexual abuse. Petrocelli said Kesha has delivered 28 new songs to Dr. Luke's label and Sony, and is hopeful that new singles and albums will be released soon. The producer has denied the allegations.
