Donald Trump's foreign policy speech cited 'dishonest,' 'phony' media sources at least 42 times

Donald Trump's campaign released a transcript of his foreign policy speech on Monday, and it came with quite the surprise: footnotes. Strangely, though, many of the publications Trump cited as sources for the speech he has also called "bad," "dishonest," "failing," "third-rate," or "so biased it is disgusting."
Trump even cited articles published by a number of organizations he has blacklisted from covering him. The Washington Post, which Trump has banned and called "dishonest," "phony," and "inaccurate," is cited eight times. Politico, another blacklisted publication which Trump has said has "no credibility" and is "a scam," was cited once. The "failing," "money-losing" Daily Beast, yet another banned publication, was also cited once.
Additionally, Trump used information from CNN 12 separate times, although he has called it "the worst," "very unprofessional," and a "dead network" that "I no longer watch." The Associated Press, a "false" and "terrible and highly inaccurate" publication, was cited five times in the speech. The New York Times was cited 15 times, despite Trump considering them "a total lie," "so totally dishonest," "a joke," "SAD!," and saying the paper carries "the most inaccurate coverage constantly."

It really is rather inconvenient when the "phony," "dishonest" mainstream media is so … informative.
