Trump is reportedly considering JPMorgan Chase chief Jamie Dimon for Treasury secretary

Donald Trump is reportedly eyeing JPMorgan Chase chief Jamie Dimon to serve as his Treasury secretary, CNBC News reported Thursday, citing two people "familiar with the matter." However, it would seem Trump's interest in Dimon fails to take into account the fact that Dimon has no interest in the role: One of the two sources told CNBC that Dimon "said he would not be interested," and Dimon himself has "suggested repeatedly" that he "would not be interested in becoming Treasury secretary."
It's not yet apparent who else might be up for the job of Treasury secretary, though former Goldman Sachs official Steven Mnuchin is reportedly a top contender.
CNBC was unable to immediately reach a Trump spokesperson for comment.
