Margot Gerster says she's "not one for signs," but will "definitely" take an encounter with Hillary Clinton as one.
On Wednesday, the New York resident was "heartbroken" over the results of the election, and decided to take her young daughters on a hike in Chappaqua, home of the Clintons. While in a clearing, she came across Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, walking their dogs. Gerster wrote on Facebook she was able to tell Clinton that one of her "proudest moments" as a mother was taking her daughter to vote for her.
Gerster told NBC News the former secretary of state "looked wonderful," and Bill Clinton took a photo of them together. "All I wanted to do is hug her," Gerster said. After thanking Gerster for her support, the Clintons continued on their way, leaving behind a very surprised fan.
