Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus not only won the Emmy for Best Actress in a comedy, she also now holds the record for winning the most Emmys in the same category for the same role.
Louis-Dreyfus has won six years in a row, and now has a total of eight Emmy awards, tying with Cloris Leachman as the performer with the most wins for acting. In her acceptance speech, she joked that Veep, which will end with its next season, had "a whole storyline about an impeachment, but we were worried that someone else might get to it first." The wins kept coming for Veep — moments later, the show won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
