Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines last week before committing the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, NBC News reports. The receiving account is in his live-in girlfriend Marilou Danley's home country. Authorities have confirmed that Danley was in the Philippines on Sunday night when the Vegas shooting occurred, but it is still unknown whether the money was for her.

Danley was originally considered a person of interest in the investigation, but officials have since said they do not believe she was involved. Investigators plan to question Danley further when she returns from traveling abroad Wednesday.

Paddock also gambled with at least $160,000 in Las Vegas casinos over the past month. In 2012, he sued a Vegas hotel for $100,000 in a slip-and-fall lawsuit, which he lost.
