All passengers and crew aboard a flight that crashed in the Pacific Ocean survived the incident after being forced to swim for their lives, CNN reports.
The 47 people aboard were rescued by local boats after the plane landed in a Pacific lagoon, The Associated Press reports. Seven people were taken to the hospital, with one person in critical but stable condition, per the AP.
The flight was heading to the Chuuk Island Airport in Micronesia and failed to land on the runway, instead crashing into the ocean, CNN reports. Sailors working on a nearby wharf helped rescue people, per the AP. Officials are unaware of the direct cause of the crash.
