Eric Trump accuses George Conway of treating his wife Kellyanne with 'utter disrespect'
With his father otherwise occupied Monday night, Eric Trump decided it was his turn to make waves on Twitter.
Trump accused George Conway, an attorney and husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, of treating his wife terribly. "Of all the ugliness in politics, the utter disrespect George Conway shows toward his wife, her career, place of work, and everything she has fought SO hard to achieve, might top them all," he tweeted. "@KellyannePolls is great person and frankly his actions are horrible."
George Conway is a conservative critic of President Trump, and has written several op-eds about the administration, including a November piece in The New York Times, where he argued, along with former acting solicitor general Neal Katyal, that Trump's appointment of Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general is "unconstitutional and illegal." On Monday morning, after President Trump tweeted that Roger Stone has "guts!" and will never testify against him, Conway tweeted in response the U.S. law about tampering with a witness, victim, or informant.

Katyal jumped to defend Conway against Trump's accusation, tweeting that he is "a great person" whose "devotion to the Constitution and rule of law, and general decency for those with whom he disagrees, is a model for us all. Thank you ... for reminding us of America's founding values."
