Roger Stone invokes 5th Amendment, declines to testify in front of senators

A lawyer for Roger Stone, one of President Trump's longtime friends and a Republican operative, said in a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that he will not provide documents or testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, invoking the Fifth Amendment.

The panel wanted to interview Stone regarding Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election; he is reportedly also being investigated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller about whether he knew in advance about WikiLeaks releasing hacked Democratic emails.
