Home Alone turns out a little differently in the present day, and it's not just because a certain businessman wouldn't have been in the Plaza Hotel to show Kevin McAllister around.
Macaulay Culkin, the now-adult star of the 1990 holiday classic, has reprised his role in a new ad released Wednesday. For one minute only, you can catch Kevin's iconic antics, reimagined and simplified with the help of a Google Home.
This time around, we learn Kevin's alone time is totally planned when he asks Google about his schedule for the day. Being older makes jumping on the bed a little more painful, and also means he actually cares enough to change the sheets afterward. And his operation to deter would-be burglars, though presumably set up by hand, is easily triggered with a voice command and secured with a smart lock on the door.
