Lin-Manuel Miranda's newest Hamilton remix contains a farewell message from Obama
Former President Barack Obama is addressing the nation "One Last Time" — with a little help from Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
In "One Last Time (44 Remix)," Hamilton star Chris Jackson reprises his role as George Washington to sing a gospel-backed version of "One Last Time," which depicts Washington's final message before stepping down as president. Obama chimes in midway through the song, and channels the first president to address his unconscious "errors" in office and subsequent retirement.
"I am nevertheless too sensible of my defects not to think it probable that I may have committed many errors," Obama says in the Friday release, reading from Washington's famous farewell address. He then goes on to praise "good laws under a free government," and discusses his "retreat" among "fellow citizens." Miranda also shared a photo of Obama working with Jackson and Hamilton orchestrator Alex Lacamoire.

Miranda and special guests have teamed up to create remixes, unreleased tracks, and covers from the show, dubbed "Hamildrops," every month of 2018. Miranda performed bits of Hamilton for the Obama White House long before the show hit Broadway, and he and Jackson performed "One Last Time" for Obama just before President Trump took office.
