Want to challenge President Trump in the 2020 Republican primaries? Have fun wasting your money, the Republican National Committee says.
RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel said at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday that any Republicans wishing to challenge Trump for the nomination in 2020 "have the right to jump in and lose ... That's fine. They'll lose horribly," NBC News' Mark Murray reports.
McDaniel proceeded to tout Trump's achievements and his high approval rating in the party, asking "what would any Republican be thinking" by challenging him. "So have at it, go ahead, waste your money, waste your time, and go ahead and lose," she concluded.

Members of the RNC previously voted to give Trump their "undivided support" in 2020, The Hill reports. Among those who have voted challenges against Trump from the right are former Ohio Governor John Kasich, who said in November that he is considering doing so "very seriously" because "we need different leadership."
