President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen is headed to prison, but he still has plenty more he'd like to say — at some point.

Cohen spoke on Monday as he prepared to begin his three-year prison sentence, telling reporters outside his home, "I hope that when I rejoin my family and friends that the country will be in a place without xenophobia, injustice and lies at the helm of our country."

He also suggested that he still has more to reveal about his time working as Trump's attorney and "fixer," saying that "there still remains much to be told" and that "I look forward to the day that I can share the truth."

Cohen pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws by arranging hush money payments to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump. He also pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about how long Trump spent negotiating a Trump Tower project in Moscow, as well as to bank fraud and tax evasion.

In February, Cohen testified before Congress and accused Trump of being a "racist," a "conman," and a "cheat," also providing lawmakers with checks he says Trump gave him as reimbursement for the hush money payments. As Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report was released in April, Cohen said he would soon be able to "tell it all." Brendan Morrow
