Daenerys Targaryen will just have to get her caffeine fix somewhere else, as that misplaced coffee cup has already been removed from Game of Thrones.
Fans of the HBO series on Sunday night were baffled to find a modern coffee cup sitting right there in front of Daenerys in the latest episode, clearly having been inadvertently left on set. Images of the anachronistic drink, which turned out to not actually be from Starbucks as originally thought, instantly became a viral sensation, with HBO issuing a jokey statement saying that it was "a mistake" because "Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea."
HBO was quick to act on the goof, though, as the cup has now been digitally removed from the episode, a network representative confirmed to Vulture. Viewers who return to "The Last of the Starks" on HBO Go won't find anything out of place in the Winterfell scene anymore, meaning fans will clearly no longer have absolutely anything to complain about.
