Virginia delegate interrupts Trump's Jamestown speech: 'You can't send us back!'

President Trump's speech in Jamestown, Virginia on Tuesday was interrupted by a Virginia state delegate, who subsequently called his presence in the state "insulting."
Trump spoke to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Virginia's first legislative assembly in a speech that was interrupted by a protester who yelled, "Mr. President, you can't send us back! Virginia is our home!" This was a reference to Trump's recent tweets telling four minority congresswomen to "go back" to where they came from; a crowd at one of his rallies later chanted "send her back" in reference to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), one of the subjects of Trump's tweets.
Ibraheem Samirah, a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates, later identified himself as the protester, saying who in a statement released to Twitter wrote, "The fact that racist-in-chief, who so openly stokes hate against immigrants, was even invited to this event is insulting to Virginians and insulting to the history of our Commonwealth's democracy." He also said that "I will always fight proudly against those who espouse racism and dehumanization." Brendan Morrow
