Poll: Warren now leads Trump by 7 points among registered voters after tying him in July
Another brutal new poll shows every top Democrat beating President Trump in a 2020 match-up, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), in particular, gaining a solid lead after previously being exactly tied.
A new ABC News-Washington Post poll released Wednesday shows Warren beating Trump by seven points in a hypothetical match-up, 51 percent to 44 percent, among registered voters. This is compared to a poll from ABC News and The Washington Post released in July that showed Warren and Trump tied at 48 percent to 48 percent.

The shifts in this poll, ABC News writes, "mainly reflect dips in [Trump's] support rather than Democratic gains," with the president's approval rating falling six points.
ABC News and The Washington Post's poll was conducted by speaking to a random national sample of 1,003 adults over the phone from Sept. 2 through Sept. 5. The margin of error is 3.5 percentage points. Read more results at ABC News.
