The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros 7-2 on Tuesday night during Game 6 of the World Series. With the win, the Nationals tied the series 3-3, forcing a Game 7.
The action started early, with the Nationals earning a run in the first inning and the Astros responding with two of their own, but that was the end of the Astros' scoring. Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals pitched for nearly the entire game, and became the first pitcher in baseball history to go 5-0 in the postseason, CBS Sports reports.
During the seventh inning stretch, Nationals manager Dave Martinez was ejected after an explosive argument with umpires over a controversial interference call involving Trea Turner. The last manager ejected from a World Series game was Bobby Cox for the Atlanta Braves in 1996.
