It wouldn't be the Golden Globes without a few surprises, and the animation category just provided a big one.

Missing Link won the Golden Globe on Sunday for Best Animated Feature Film in a major upset, with most pundits having predicted a win for either Toy Story 4 or Frozen 2. In fact, ahead of the show, all but one of the experts on the awards season website Gold Derby forecasted a win for one of those movies.

This makes Missing Link not only a huge surprise win but also a rare non-Disney film to be crowned in this category after Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse also won last year and 20th Century Fox's How to Train Your Dragon 2 won in 2015.
