Thinking the Kansas City Chiefs play in Kansas is perhaps an understandable mistake. But for a president to do it, especially during an election year, is pretty funny, and lots of people made the same joke.

Mistakes can be fixed with things other than Sharpies, as Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) suggests, playing this out to one plausible conclusion.

You could argue that the Chiefs also "represent" Kansas, or that Missouri is part of "the entire USA." But Trump deleted the tweet and congratulated the State of Missouri for its team's big Super Bowl win, after an 11 minute gap.

Someday those 11 minutes will probably end up in a Trump White House tell-all.
