Ted Cruz called Austin's mayor a 'hypocrite' for fleeing to Mexico during the pandemic. It's coming back to bite him.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has a history of calling out politicians for the exact thing he's doing now.

As his state suffered days of widespread blackouts and other dire consequences of a deep freeze, Cruz and his family were spotted boarding a plane to Cancun on Wednesday night. The Republican was unsurprisingly mocked for his poorly timed travel, and after just 11 hours in Mexico, seemed to be making a U-turn for Houston.
