iPhone 6: Joan Rivers praises Apple 'from beyond the grave'
Comedy legend Joan Rivers praises Apple devices on day of iPhone 6 sale, two weeks after her death
The late comedy icon Joan Rivers has mysteriously promoted the new Apple iPhone 6 on Facebook from beyond the grave.
The iPhone 6 was launched on 9 September, five days after Rivers died at the age of 81 following complications from throat surgery.
On Friday morning, as the new iPhone went on sale around the world, a message popped up on her Facebook account praising Apple's "great achievement in design".

The post included a picture of an older iPhone and said: "This badass is being replaced by an iPhone 6 (not the fat one). I got this one in 2010, and after 4 years, my only complaint is that apps are now designed for bigger screens, and the battery is getting tired.
"Never had a case for it, since it was most beautiful on its own. Great achievement in design. Great product. #apple #iPhone #tech"
The post was quickly deleted, but not before TMZ had captured a screen grab. "The ghost of Joan Rivers has a message for you ... BUY THE iPHONE 6!!!" writes TMZ. "After all, who knows more about the cloud than a ghost?"
The website speculates that the message had been set up as part of a pre-negotiated deal with Apple and someone had forgotten to remove it after Rivers died. Apple, as usual, has not issued a comment.
Apparently being dead for over a week has not stopped the Fashion Show star being "chuffed to bits" with her new "iPhone 6-feet-under", says [The Guardian. The newspaper describes the blunder as "a warning to PR companies everywhere", although admits that the message was at least "on point" as the iPhone 6 and iPhone Plus have had positive reviews. "Some might say even a product to die for," it adds.
