After undergoing hip surgery in January Andy Murray has stepped up his recovery by swapping a tennis racket for golf clubs.
The three-time grand slam champion and former world No.1 said in March that he was now “pain free” after surgery and earlier this month he picked up a tennis racket again and hit some balls against a brick wall.

With progress going well Murray has also been able to enjoy other activities. The Scot revealed that he had not played a round of golf for six years but he gave the “thumbs up” after 18 holes.
Two-time Wimbledon champion Murray said on Instagram: “Played my first round of golf for 6 years yesterday… pain free. Hip resurfacing = (thumbs up).”
His mother, Judy Murray, also shared the video of him hitting the fairways. Writing on Twitter she said her son could have been inspired by Tiger Woods’s comeback and memorable victory at The Masters.
