Donald Trump has been called many things during his presidential run, but never "too politically correct" — until now.
In a first, a new ad released by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday accuses Trump of being part of the "p.c. police" for speaking out against a North Carolina bill that forces transgender people to use the bathroom that corresponds to the sex on their birth certificate. Trump called the bill "unnecessary" and said people should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate." The ominous, black-and-white ad turns Trump's surprisingly tolerant moment against him, proclaiming: "It's not appropriate. It's not safe. It's p.c. nonsense that's destroying America."
