More than half of Americans think Donald Trump just might have a point about the country's presidential nominating process being "rigged," according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll. The poll finds that 51 percent of likely voters agree the current system is stacked against certain candidates, with 71 percent wishing they could just cut out the delegates and pick their party's nominee through a direct vote.

At the same time, the poll also found that more than a quarter of Americans — about equal parts Democrats and Republicans — aren't exactly sure how the current system works. Another 44 percent don't understand why delegates are even involved.
