Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda says Trump is 'going straight to hell' for his Puerto Rico tweets

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the hit Broadway show Hamilton, on Saturday tweeted an angry reaction to President Trump's disparaging remarks about San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz and other Puerto Rican officials, as well as the administration's response to Hurricane Maria more broadly:

Miranda, who is of Puerto Rican descent, also posted multiple tweets Saturday morning urging his followers to donate to the Hispanic Federation for hurricane relief:

This isn't the first time Hamilton performers have tangled with the Trump White House. When then-Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of the show in November, cast members addressed him from the stage, welcoming his attendance but asking him to reconsider his policies. Pence said he was not offended by the comments, but Trump labeled the cast "very rude" and demanded an apology.
