SATURDAY, BULGARIA: A Kukeri dancer performs at the International Festival of the Masquerade Games in Pernik, near Sofia. The three-day carnival is a celebration of masks and disguises.
SUNDAY, TURKEY: A tethered bird is shown to potential buyers at the Edirnekapi Bird Market, which is held in Istanbul every Sunday. Although pigeons are the most popular, many other species are also on sale, including budgies, roosters and chickens.
SUNDAY, ENGLAND: A competitor emerges from the water during the Tough Guy Challenge at South Perton Farm in Staffordshire. The one-day survival contest claims to be the toughest in the word and around one third of starters fail to finish.

MONDAY, LIBYA: A young Libyan performs stunts in Benghazi during a festival organised by the Motorcycle Club and Arabian Horse club. The participants wanted to show that the city, the scene of attacks by Islamic militants in 2012, is not simply controlled by militia groups.
TUESDAY, SWEDEN: A road sign near the old town of Stockholm warns against pedestrians focusing on their smartphones while walking. The signs were created by Swedish artists Jacob Sempler and Emil Tiisman to reduce the number of accidents.
TUESDAY, ENGLAND: A member of staff poses next to a series of artworks by Andy Warhol at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. The pieces form part of the Andy Warhol: Works from the Hall Collection exhibition, which features more than 100 unseen works. It is open until 15 May.
WEDNESDAY, FRANCE: Pedestrians walk past 12 Porsches on display during a sale of vintage cars and motorcycles at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Bonham's auction, in the city for its sixth year, saw 75 of the 130 classic cars on offer being sold.
WEDNESDAY, FRANCE: Naeem Hayat takes the title role as Shakespeare's Globe theatre company perform Hamlet at the "Jungle" refugee camp in Calais. The Globe to Globe tour, which aims to perform the tragedy in every country on earth, started on the bard's birthday on 23 April 2014, and will finish at the Globe Theatre in London on 23 April this year - the 400th anniversary of his death.
THURSDAY, ENGLAND: A groundskeeper completes the finishing touches to a tunnel made purely from tropical plants, part of the Kew Gardens Orchid Festival in London. The event, which runs until 6 March, features almost 9,000 plants and 3,294 orchids.
THURSDAY, ENGLAND: Moulds of the Bafta mask are ready to be turned into the coveted bronze trophy at the New Pro Foundries in West Drayton, Middlesex. This year's awards' ceremony will be held at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden next Sunday.
FRIDAY, SOMALIA: A soldier stands guard near the scene of a car bomb in Mogadishu, in which three people were killed. Police say the bomb was targeting an airport official in the Somali capital.
FRIDAY, GREECE: Asylum-seekers warm themselves at a gas station near the village of Idomeni as they wait to cross the Greek-Macedonian border. More than a million refugees and migrants from war-torn countries are said to have made their way to Greece on their way to mainland Europe.
