Watch the 'frill' of the chase
An Australian man who had a run-in with the local wildlife in outback Australia has captured the "attack" on camera. Ricky Mackenzie was travelling through the remote Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley region when he came upon a frill-necked lizard in the middle of the road. Concerned for its safety, he attempted to herd the lizard to a safer spot - when the reptile confronted him and sent him retreating. Having proved its point, the lizard then moved on.

Tenants find corpse in cupboard
A couple in New York made a gruesome discovery while clearing out their new apartment: the body of the previous tenant. Sidney Harris's corpse had been wrapped in blankets and rubbish bags in a cupboard – together with a note from his killer saying: "Sorry for the smell." The landlord, believing Harris had gone to hospital and would not be returning, rented the apartment to the two 18-year-olds on condition that they cleaned it.
Boy calls cops after dad runs red light
Police in the Massachusetts city of Quincy have released an audio tape of a 911 call made by a six-year-old boy reporting that his father had run a red light. The child called police after returning home from a local carwash and told the dispatcher: "Um, Daddy went past a red light." The call handler asked to speak to the boy's father, who apologised. Police decided not to pursue the case.
