World to end next Friday, claims prophecy network
YouTube channel says second coming of Jesus will herald an imminent apocalypse
Just when you thought 2016 couldn't get any gloomier, a YouTube channel has forecast the world is going to end next Friday.
The End Time Prophecies channel says a global apocalypse will wipe out the entire population on 29 July, with a second coming of Jesus Christ and a reversal of the Earth's magnetic poles.
The doom-laden video offers Bible verses, some dubious science and curious CGI graphics to argue its point.

"The polar flip will make the stars race across the sky and the vacuum created by the reeling of the Earth will pull the atmosphere along the ground, trying to catch up," intones a computerised voice. "The global earthquake will be so bad that every hill and mountain will crumble."
It also quotes Revelations 6:12: "There was a violent earthquake, and the Sun became black like coarse black cloth, and the moon turned completely red like blood.
"The stars fell down to the earth, like unripe figs falling from the tree when a strong wind shakes it. The sky disappeared like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place."
But before you hand in your notice at work and begin looting your local supermarket, note that this prediction is one of many this year by the End Time Prophecies.
They also forecast that an asteroid would hit the Earth on 6 May and that, last month, US president Barack Obama would reveal he was the Antichrist.
