Pizza man sent to check on grandma cut off by Hurricane Matthew
Delivery man's new role, Ronald McDonald 'keeps a low profile' and more from the stranger side of life

A grandson who lost contact with his 87-year-old grandmother in Florida after Hurricane Matthew found a creative way to check on her wellbeing. Unable to make contact with rescue workers, Eric Olsen ordered a pizza from a local chain and asked the delivery driver to pass the phone to 87-year-old Claire Olsen, when he arrived. "Police and fire couldn't do it, but Papa John's got there in 30 minutes and put the cellphone to her ear," he said.
Ronald McDonald isn't loving the clown trend
Ronald McDonald, will be keeping a "low profile" as reports of creepy or threatening clowns continue to rise throughout the US, says burger chain McDonald's. The fast food outlet said it was being "thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald's participation in community events" because of the "current climate around clown sightings".

Man charged after 'mutiny' on fishing trip
A man has been charged for firing a gun on his boat during an argument with his passengers. Tobias Bybee, 38, of Florida Keys, was on a fishing trip when a row broke out. He allegedly picked up his rifle, hit one passenger in the throat with the butt and fired several shots into the air. The boat was met at the docks by police, who were told by Bybee there had been a "mutiny aboard the vessel".
