Bulgari's Serpenti is one of jewellery's most enduring designs. With its roots in Roman and Greek mythology, the serpent symbol has, over the decades, been transformed by the fashion house into eye-catching jewellery and watches. Elizabeth Taylor immortalised its place in style history when one was seen snaking up her arm on set when filming Cleopatra in 1962.

Harrods is celebrating the distinctive motif in all its forms with a dedicated pop-up that runs until 1 June. It will showcase the latest jewellery collection – an alluring assortment of bejewelled pendants, rings, bracelets and earrings, from pink gold pieces with diamonds, rubellite and amethyst to white gold iterations featuring brilliant green emeralds as the snake's eyes.
