Today’s back pages: Man Utd’s lack of respect and Chelsea blow it

The race to finish in the Premier League top four dominates the Tuesday back page headlines following a dramatic weekend of top-flight action.

Chelsea moved into the Champions League qualification places but the draw against Burnley on Easter Monday means they missed the chance to take advantage after their rivals all slipped up over the weekend.

“Blues blow it” says The Daily Telegraph’s back page while the Daily Star reports that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and his team lost their cool in the 2-2 draw against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

The big focus of the back page headlines is the Manchester derby which takes place at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening. Manchester United were thrashed 4-0 at Everton on Sunday and now they have to face title-chasing rivals Manchester City.

United midfielder Paul Pogba called out his team-mates after the hammering at Goodison. The Daily Express and Daily Mirror both focus on Pogba lashing out at the United stars for having “no respect”.

Should United miss out on the top four there could be an exodus at Old Trafford this summer. The Guardian reports that Pogba and goalkeeper David de Gea are among those who could be looking for the exit.

In the English Championship Norwich City are “on the brink” of promotion to the Premier League, says the Norwich Evening News.

Meanwhile, The Times says it’s “time to take action” as football players and managers back the paper’s manifesto to fight racism.
