‘Gun to pot’
In a “Prem shocker” for Arsenal The Sun reports that Gunners boss Unai Emery has written off any title challenge from his team - 16 days before the start of the new campaign.
The Gunners finished fifth in the Premier League last season and Emery believes that the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool is too big to close.

Spaniard Emery said: “We need to be realistic and the distance between Liverpool and Manchester City and us is [a lot of] points.
“We want to reduce that, we want to be more competitive. We need to improve defensively but with no loss offensively, because the first idea we developed with this team is to be offensive.”
‘The £50m kid’
England winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to sign a new £100,000-a-week contract with Chelsea worth £50m, the Daily Mirror reports.
Hudson-Odoi had been linked with German giants Bayern Munich, but new Blues boss Frank Lampard has persuaded the 18-year-old to stay at Stamford Bridge for the long term.
Root: seize the moment
After the joy of winning the Cricket World Cup England return to Test action today with a four-day match against Ireland at Lord’s.
With the Ashes series starting against Australia on 1 August, The Daily Telegraph says that England captain Joe Root has urged his players to ride the wave of the World Cup euphoria.
