Today’s back pages: KJT rules the world and Arsenal set goal standard
A round-up of the sport headlines from UK newspapers on 4 October

Gold for KJT
Katarina Johnson-Thompson followed in Dina Asher-Smith’s footsteps by winning gold at the World Athletics Championships in Doha.
“KJT rules the world” says The Times after the 26-year-old won the heptathlon with 6,981 points - beating the British record previously held by Jessica Ennis-Hill.
Belgium’s Nafissatou Thiam and Austria’s Verena Preiner won the silver and bronze respectively.

“This is the result of so many attempts of trying to perform on this stage,” Johnson-Thompson told the BBC. “The low moments have helped me come back and look at myself.
“This has been my dream. It has been such a long road. I am just happy that I’m coming into my best in these two big years. I just want more.”
Martinelli stars for the Gunners
Arsenal are top of Europa League group F after a 4-0 win over Standard Liege last night.
The Gunners “set the goal standard”, says The Guardian, with Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli starring in the victory at the Emirates.
The 18-year-old scored two and set up Dani Ceballos for his first goal in Arsenal colours. Joe Willock, 20, was also on the scoresheet.
